About

Fundraiser. Writer. Nonprofit Partner.

With nearly a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, I have had the good fortune to collaborate with an array of organizations that – through the power of philanthropy – heal, educate, feed, shelter, mentor, and effect community-wide impact. I have dedicated my career to championing communities and community champions.

I bring to my day-to-day work a blend of frontline development and nonprofit consulting experience. My professional background is rooted in mission-focused fundraising and my areas of expertise include:

  • Capital and comprehensive campaigns
  • Major, principal, and legacy gift strategy
  • Annual fund programs
  • Case development and donor-facing collateral design
  • Program development and project management
  • Staff and volunteer empowerment
  • Data analytics and CRM management

Beyond my commitment to ensuring philanthropic aspirations are matched to organizational opportunities, I am passionate about exploring gender and generational roles in giving and promoting leadership advancement within the sector. A former contributing writer at The Nonprofit Quarterly, I have covered various topics including women and philanthropy, the intersection of politics and giving, and volunteer empowerment and management.

Organizations that I have served through my own volunteerism include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation, Girls Inc., and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Arizona Chapter. I was a founding Steering Committee Member of the Inaugural For the Greater Good Women’s Summit at Indiana University and currently serve as a volunteer at Children’s Hospital Colorado and mentor for the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs Mentor Collective.

I earned a Master of Public Affairs with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management from the School of Public & Environmental Affairs at Indiana University and a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. I am a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
